Storm Surf is a painting from the Surf & Ocean Range of paintings.
The photographic surf images were photographed after a storm during the winter in the early morning just after sunrise and used as a reference for the painting. The beach had more of a yellowish tinge due to the suns reflection on that day, with the ocean producing massive ocean swells of 10 foot plus waves.
Painting a variety of detailed fine art and abstract paintings, Karl also frequently photographs the surfing action amongst the waves with a range of waterproof cameras.

Look to the Stars is an outback painting showcasing the colourful red earth of Western Australia which incorporates the Orion Star Clusters at the top of the painting. These star clusters are actual stars mapped from original photographic deep space photos taken by Artistic Photography and incorporated into the painting.
As well as a professional photographer, Karl has been painting artworks for many years and has sold and exhibited paintings at a number of fine art galleries around Australia.

Photographic Time-Lapse of Solar Luna Eclipse -
On the 26th of May 2021 the alignment of the Moon, Earth and the Sun created a spectacular solar event with an amazing Supermoon during a Solar Lunar Eclipse. Photographing this Astronomical Event, my goal was to take a series of photographs over a 7 hour duration, photographing many time-lapse images with the moon at its fullest at approximately 90 degrees above the earth. These are some of the images taken of the Super Moon Lunar Eclipse of 2021.

Astro Photography -
The Orion Star Cluster with Meteor photographed by Artistic Photography When photographing a series of deep space photographs of the Orion Constellation, a red glowing meteorite passes below the view of the Orion Starfield in sync with the cameras field of view.
I managed to photograph the meteorite from a number of deep space images which also include stars generally not visible with the bare eye during general observation. The redish glow of the meteor is due to the atmospheric conditions and the composition of the actual meteorite.
