The history of photography goes far back to the early centuries as a desire for human beings to capture that moment in time in both still photography and motion pictures.
Initially still photography like motion picture was created in the beginnings to take portraiture of people. In the old historical film stock footage you would see photographers using century old camera's on classic wooden tripods with the photographer taking photographs using box type camera's that incorporated glass plates with light blocking materials over the camera, tripod and photographer to filter out the light that interfered with the photographers plates, thus only exposing light through the lens of a camera.
Like any form of technology, camera's evolved. There capacity to block out light improved with the required light only directed through the lens, the old plate type camera's and box film cameras improved with each new camera being released over time. The lenses also played an important role and so the lenses developed and improved optically with clearer images. Glass plates were outdated by film camera's.
Camera's evolved and decades after newer models were introduced and more technically advanced camera's would emerge. The camera became the most desirable product to have in those early centuries and probably one of the most practical.
Photographing that moment in time allowed us to go back and reflect on that moment. Events in time were photographed including what people had experienced. Like beautiful landscape scenery that had been admired and photographed creating that magnificent landscape photograph. The reflection may be an appreciation of the earth and a sense of belonging. However all things remain the same. Photography is all about creatively photographing that moment.
