Film speed is very important and also the sensitivity to light. Selecting the right Black and White Film is an integral part of the process and Artistic Photography has extensive knowledge on the various types of black and white film that were previously available before the digital era and the black and white film currently available today. Slow films have finer grain and give a more smoother looking image. Fast films are more grainier, but are useful when photographing in low light, or if a reproduction to print with grain incorporated in the artwork is required.
